The Meaning of "Yes, It’s Friday"
Why I Coach
I spent over 20 years leading people, including 18 years at Google, where I led large cross-functional organizations in Tech, Security, and Operations. I eventually left a stable Director role because I realized that helping leaders feel seen, heard, and empowered mattered more to me than any title.
As an executive coach, I help high achievers navigate rapid growth, career transitions, and the heavy weight of burnout. Having earned a 4.9/5 rating and the 2024 Coach Excellence Award for my coaching at Google, I’ve seen firsthand that the most successful leaders aren't the ones working the hardest; they’re the ones who have mastered their inner landscape.

What is coaching?

My Approach: Human, Direct, and Grounded

My coaching style is calm and supportive, yet direct when it comes to challenging the limiting beliefs that hold you back. I specialize in working with those who often feel they don’t "fit the mold," including first-generation professionals and women in tech, wrestling with:

-
Imposter Syndrome & Perfectionism: Moving past the "not enough" narrative.
-
High-Stakes Decision Making: Finding clarity amid rapid change.
-
Sustainable Leadership: Rebuilding after burnout to lead with boundaries and conviction.

Credentials & Background
I am an ICF-certified coach with degrees from Stanford University in International Relations and Industrial Engineering. My perspective is shaped by a global lived experience: I am a first-gen Korean-American who grew up in Illinois, went on exchange to France at 13, and started my career in Kobe, Japan. This background gives me a deep appreciation for cross-cultural dynamics and the invisible influences of culture in the workplace. I’ve invested heavily in my own growth as a leader, learning to build confidence, overcome imposter syndrome, and let go of perfectionism.
Beyond the Office
I’ve personally rebounded from debilitating burnout by redefining my relationship with work and success. Today, I live a life rooted in gratitude and movement. When I’m not coaching, I’m a mom of two boys who finds my own 'Friday' through yoga, strength training, hiking, and laughter.
Success for me is helping you become the best version of yourself: strong, happy, healthy, and kind to yourself and others.
In Korean, Friday includes the character for 'gold' and my surname Kim, so Friday is literally the 'golden day'. I founded my coaching practice on a simple but radical idea: you can build a life where you feel a bit of that Friday spaciousness and vitality every single day.
